The Bridal Shower is this Weekend

I’m having issues coming to terms with the fact that the wedding is just five weeks away, but the fact that the bridal shower is this Sunday kind of makes it hard to ignore. I originally didn’t want a shower, but I got talked into it. My aunt is hosting it at my mom’s house, so it should be fun. My only requirements were that there should be no stupid games (let’s not make wedding dresses out of toilet paper) and there needed to be alcohol. My mom’s making a champagne punch that sounds delicious, so we’ve got the second one covered. Now that I’ve gotten used to the idea of a shower, I’m kind of looking forward to it.

On a related note, my awesome aunt’s wedding/shower gift arrived for us yesterday and it’s AMAZING!

I think I’m going to try to have my makeup trial while we’re in Asheville/Hendersonville this weekend because I don’t know if we’ll be back up there before the wedding. I still haven’t really figured out hair yet. My hair is getting longer, but it’s also VERY fine, so I don’t think I’ll be able to have the sort of updo I’d really like. I was thinking about getting a hair braid extension like this:

My mom doesn’t like the idea, but John’s all for the second option, because I could do Princess Leia buns with them. What do you think I should do with my hair for the wedding?
